BECE Timetable For JSS3 2020/2021 And Exams Grading System

The BECE timetable for the basic certificate examination (JSS 3) has been released by the NECO. According to the Council, the examination will commence Monday 24th of August and end on the 4th of September 2020.

Therefore candidates who are asking for when Junior WAEC 2020 will start, the exam will start on 24th August, 2020.

Latest Update: The FG has rolled out schedule for the Basic Examination Certificate Examination for JSS 3 conducted by NECO, and the exam will start on the 24th of August and end on the 4th of September 2020.

All candidates writing BECE 2020 should take note of the following:

  • Practical in Business Studies as well as Basic Science & Technology (BST) should be in sets where the number of candidates is large and the equipment cannot go round. However, the practical examination should not exceed 5.00pm. Computers can be used in place of manual Typewriters for Business Studies.
  • Albinos and Blind Candidates are to be given 30mins extra time in all subjects.
  • Blind Candidates must make use of NECO-supplied OBR Customised Braille Sheet for the Examination.

BECE Grading System

NECO conducts for Federal Unity Colleges and other allied institutions. BECE certificate replaces the primary school certificate as the first school leaving certificate.

The BECE grading system is as follows:

  • A – Distinction
  • B – Upper Credit
  • C – Lower Credit
  • P – Pass
  • F – Fail
