UPDATE: Oyo TESCOM Fixes Date For Oral Screening Exercise For Conversion Teachers

The Oyo State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has fixed middle of July, 2020 as the date for oral interview exercise for staff seeking to move from non-teaching to teaching cadre.

The TESCOM disclosed this in a memo signed by its Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Olabisi Oderinde that the oral interview will through till the end of July, 2020.

The TESCOM Board stressed that candidate must be able to demonstrate verbally how to teach the subject(s) studied in Higher institution.

Oyo TESCOM advised all candidates to get familiar with current affairs, names and portfolio of TESCOM, Ministries, Agencies and Departments political and Civil Service office holders etc .

The Board emphasized that all candidates must present their credentials – preferably all certificates- primary, secondary and higher institution.

In addition , you need to demonstrate confidence and charisma of a teacher to be able to control group of students.

The TESCOM Board in the last meeting held last week at the headquarters agreed to reduced the CBT minimum mark from 40% now to 36%, on compassionate ground that majority are not familiar with computer examination.

The TESCOM Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Olabisi Oderinde affirmed that the total mark a potential teacher must score on the average percentage of addition of CBT and lnterview mark must be 50%.
