Npower: Afolabi Imoukhuede Gives New Details On Stipend Payment to Beneficiaries

Npower, a federal government socio-economic investment programme in a statement signed by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Job Creation Mr. Afolabi Imoukhuede today stated that the payment of March stipend commenced on April 16th.

It also revealed that part of the delay in the stipend was as a result of a change in the payment platform, saying this is responsible for the new inscription of : Federal Government of Nigeria – FGN – FEDER contained in the credit alerts received by the beneficiaries different from the usual NIBSS Payment Platform.

Afolabi Imoukhuede in the statement also apologized for the late payment disclosing however that some people who have exited and resigned from the programme were also paid.

He stated that the ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development is currently reconciling payment accounts with relevant stakeholders.

He therefore asked beneficiaries who are still active in the programme but are yet to receive payment to be rest assured that they will receive their payment.
