BREAKING: June/July stipend payment for Npower beneficiaries currently ongoing

The much awaited June/July stipends for the Batch A and B of the Npower program are currently being paid.

The beneficiaries in both batches of the program are overjoyed to receive this great, cheering news, and have took to social media to express their joy in different ways.

This payment is coming after days of protest staged to the national assembly by the state representative of scheme.

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development Hon Sadiya Farouq had announced early June that the Batch ‘A’and Batch’B’ beneficiaries will be exited from the scheme to give room for the batch ‘C’ beneficiaries the government is planning to bring onboard.

The commencement of payment is a relief for beneficiaries who stopped receiving stipend from federal government during the peak of economic lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Minister of Humanitarian Affairs Disaster Management and Social Development Hon Sadiya Farouq, more than 5,000,000 Nigerians have applied for the 400,000 job slots in Batch ‘C’ of the scheme.
