Updated list of resumption dates for 20 states and FCT for 2021 academic session

As the year 2021 began with a new wave of Corona virus,federal government has since stipulated January 18 as resumption date for schools in Nigeria in a bid to have ample time to address the challenge of the Corona virus. However, state in the federation have ben shunning the FG directive and have scheduled resumption dates for their respective states. Below are the state by state resumption date for for the year 2021 by 20 states and the FACT Abuja as monitored by us.

1) Lagos: January 18, 2021
2) Abia: January 11, 2021
3) Kogi: January, 18, 2021
4) Osun: Schools shut till further notice
5) Akwa- Ibom: January 4, 2021
6) Benue: January 18, 2021
7) Anambra: January 18, 2021
8) FCT – PTF – Unity schools (Federal Government colleges)
January 18, 2021
9) Kwara: January 18, 2021 (For Nursery, Primary, Secondary Schools). January 11, 2021 (For Tertiary institutions)
10) Plateau: January 18, 2021
11) Bauchi: January 18, 2021
12) Nasarawa: January 4, 2021
13) Yobe: January 18, 2021
14) Rivers: January 4, 2021
15) Bayelsa: January 11, 2021
16) Ebonyi: January 18, 2021 (For Nursery, Primary, Secondary Schools), January 4, 2021 (For Tertiary institutions)
17) Ekiti: January 18, 2021
18) Ogun: January 18, 2021
19) Zamfara: January 4, 2021
20) Gombe: January 11, 2021
21) Delta: January 11, 2021

Note: Other states will be added as soon as the resumption date is released. Also note that all students residing in the school (boarders) are to resume a day before the resumption date.
