LASG Commences Recruitment of Medical Professionals into General Hospitals

Amid the current COVID19 PANDEMIC which has been ravaging the world for the past four months with active medical solutions yet to be found.

It is no more news that even before the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, the Lagos State has been having shortage of medical professionals. 

Few hours ago, the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu through the Lagos State Health Service Commission (LSHSC) has announced the commencement of recruitment exercise for medical personnels into General Hospitals across the State with the opening of a online recruitment portal for interested applicants on Wednesday, 15th July, 2020.

In line with the official press statement issued by the Commission this evening, the decision to ensure the vacant positions are occupied in the 27 General Hospitals across the State was sequel to the approval granted by Mr. Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu to increase the staff strength of medical personnel in the hospitals.

According to the Lagos State Health Service Commission;

Some of the vacant positions for employment opportunities are Medical Consultants, Medical and Dental Officers, Pharmacists, Nursing Officers, Pharmacy Technicians, Dental Therapists and Dental Technicians.

Also, it was clearly stated that the online application portal will only be accessible for three weeks as from 12 noon on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, to 12 noon on Wednesday, August 5, 2020.

Lastly, the Lagos State Health Service Commission stated that no form of physical submission of forms and other credentials would be entertained in its office due to the COVID-19 protocols stipulated by the State and Federal Government.
