FG Postpones Plan To Reopen Schools After Negative Feedback From Parents

On June 25, 2020, during the Thursday’s briefing of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 in Abuja, It was stated by the Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba, that schools will have to remain closed in Nigeria for now, as parents have given a negative feedback concerning the reopening of schools.

Unfortunately for students, the Federal government won’t reopen schools as they have planned, after 80% of parents turned off the plan of reopening.

As the Minister stated, a survey reports shows that parents refused the reopening of schools because of the fear of covid 19 and children used as experiment.

As of June, 26, 2020, Nigeria has over 22,614 confirmed cases of COVID-19, and this is really a big sign not to let the vulnerable kids go out for any large gatherings like school.
